Guest Artists

See below for the guest artist application.

Along with Gabriel Mott’s interactive color art that seeks to heighten your visual perception of color relationship, the guest artist list for the 2011 Alchemeyez installation is becoming set. We are blessed to have some of the most amazing visual artists from around the world gracing the color box with their visionary artwork.

Arcane has spent the last 20 years focusing on exploring the Unknown and downloading transmissions from the Divine.Thru the use of advanced 3-d programs and shamanic practices he merges ancient archetypical iconography into a mutating metamorphic cyber shamanic actuality.

Andrew Jones leads the field in creating digital visual mutating totems of access to the 4th dimension. His groundbreaking work with Phedra as Phadroid has provided infinite inspiration for interactivity on the color box. His work on the color box at Alchemeyez in 2010 has become the color box’s most watched video on youtube.

Matthias Oostrik is doing, in my opinion, some of the coolest interactive visual work in The Netherlands and perhaps anywhere. In his work as a visual artist the audience is always present. Sometimes as object, sometimes as subject, but always as a starting point for a visual dialogue.

Johnathan Singer has it down. He is able to articulate other visionary art into something with a complete new life of its own as well as generate original content all with the potency to trigger new realms of consciousness.

SidGabriel was the first artist I found when I was looking for color objects, with a life of their own, that are interactive with participants. His Light Nucleus continues to be an inspiration for me in terms of relating color and movement.

Michael RyalsMichael Ryals, with the color box since the beginning is an alchemecal artist at the core. His rich appreciation for the feminine is undeniable, and his ability to portray the goddess is endless.

Guest Artist Application

While it is unlikely we’ll be accepting any more artists for this years Alchemeyez, we will have future installations and we encourage you to apply as we are always looking for new cutting edge content. The Color Box has been a featured installation at SOURCE: the Interactive Arts Festival for the last three years, receiving art grants the last two years and numerous individual donations. Last year, the Color Box was the only art installation at Alchemeyez: The Visionary Arts Congress which allowed participants at the congress to interact with the artwork. The congress last year included presentations and work from notables Alex Grey, Robert Venosa, Martina Hoffman and Andrew Jones among many others.

Are you a digital visionary artist? Do you have interactive visual content that is engaging and furthers an understanding of color relationships? Do you have visuals you’d like share with a community of world-renowned visionary artists? We are particularly interested in work already set up for the Kinect remote. Please apply below for inclusion in the Color Box 2011 at Alchemeyez.

Benefits
We understand that many of you are rewarded by the joy of sharing your work with worthy individuals. Others are inspired by the personal satisfaction of being a vital part of cutting edge technology and installation artwork at a world renowned festival. In addition to these benefits, all selected submissions will be credited and documented. If your work is included, we will take photographs and (in most cases video) of your art that will be included on our website and potential broadcast worldwide through not only our own marketing but through SOURCE: The interactive arts festival and Alchemeyez: The Visionary Arts Congress.

Selection of your Artwork does not provide access to Alchemeyez. The Color Box is an official art installation at the Congress and we are in the process of finalizing our arrangement as well as raising our budget through kickstarter. It is possible we may be able to provide access to the festival for you. If your artwork is chosen, you as well are chosen to join the Color Box team. That commits you to joining us with the installation, breakdown or presentation of the colorbox during the festival– or any and all of the above. That’s the funnest part anyway.
